I spoke to my friend who works for a chiropractor and she said that custom orthotics are sometimes covered by insurance at 100%!

I got new othotics in May and my current insurance covered them at 100%. You will need to call your insurance company to find out if they cover them or not. My previous insurance would not cover them at all and custom orthtics can run around $350. So I waited until our new insurance was in effect.

My insurance company, would not cover any of the cost for orthotics, they said if it were for Diabetic reasons then yeah, but otherwise no. So you call and talk to your insurance company. best of luck, ASUgirl

Wow, is that how much you pay for custom orthotics in the U.S.A, here in the U.K the most expensive pair of custom orthotics i have seen have been £170. Your insurance should cover it. This starts a quite intresting debate, doo you think that there is much diffrence between the a custom made and off the shelf orthotic?
