How long does Forteo take to heal fractures and build bone?
Should a scan be taken in 3 months or so? Also, what is a real good Calcium supplement to take? One that is easy on the stomach and absorbable. For some reason I do not know how good the ones that are sold at a rite-aid or cvs are (like Catrate etc).

Any answers will be much appreciated!;)

I'm almost nearing my 4th month on Forsteo/Forteo. I had a scan last month and there was practically no change in density. My doctor says it could be from 6 month to over a year, before you'll see anything on a scan.
I can't help you with the Calcium because I don't take any. I get too much if I start taking supplements apparantly. Please note that I'm 20 years old.

I had some improvement after 4 months. My insurance paid for the scan. Most insurances won't pay for a year or 18 months or until your almost done with the treatment. There are several nam brand calcium citrate's sold at pharmacy type stores.
