Hi Debbie!

I am no expert on drug interactions with vitamins and the like. I do take a number of prescription drugs and ovc supplements and have had no problems. I tend to be a little paranoid about starting new meds so I always check with the pharmacy and/or one of my doctors and even the vitamin place that I go will check for any bad interactions. There are also a lot of great websites waiting to be found simply by searching for drug interactions. Most sites also have info on vitamins and the like.

Is the cod liver oil that you want to take an omega 3 oil? The reason I ask is my husband was on coumadin for around a year and had to avoid aspirin, omega 3's and vitamin k because they increase your risk of bleeding by thinning your blood even more than just taking on of these alone. I don't want anything bad to happen to you, so what I would do is call my doc or pharmist to be on the safe side.

Crestor is a statin, isn't it? I was on Zocor (simvastatin) for a while and my doctor recommened taking vitamin B-12 to help avvert any side effects to my muscles.

Best of luck to you!

I would recommend talking to your pharmacist or doctor. Also, most local Poison Control Centers can help as well. I just learned about this a couple years ago, but I have tried calling them for similar questions and they were very helpful.
