Hi All.
I'm going for a yearly check up this week. I was diagnozed with Chlymidia the last time i was at the doctors in 06, and i took medication for it. Everything seemed ok after. I thought possibly it has gone away. Could chlymidia still be in my system after a year? Can I become infertile? Thanks.

That's a bacterial infection, so the antibiotics should have cleared it up. The doctor might want to run the test again, though, just to make sure. Did you have any symptoms? Most women don't. If you were sucessfully treated fairly soon after you caught it, you shouldn't have infertility issues.

Do bring it up, though.

I agree, early treatment is crucial. If it's not treated early, scar tissue can build up in the fallopian tubes and make you infertile.
