Hi Everyone,

I am so sorry the pain all of you are going through, and I
would appreciate anyones opinion.

My uncle had lung cancer and stomach cancer, both went into
remission with the chemo. Now the problem is, he has leukemia
due to the chemo. and cannot have anymore chemo. to hope
and help to save him from leukemia. His doctor has told us this,
he already had to have a blood transfusion, his dr. said, he normally
has about 14 pints in his body(due to his size)and he was down to
only 4 when he was hospitalized and tested for bone marrow. That
is when we were told about his leukemia.

My question is to anyone, how long do you think he may have to live?
I know that is different in everyone, but, without any treatment to try
and correct it,it cannot be very long.I would appreciate anyone's
opinion.Thanks in advance.And good-luck to all of you.Sherri

dear Sherri,
i wish i could give you more but it is imposible to tell and judge on time-its out of our hands now i hope your family are close cause you are going to need support for eachother your family are sure going through a lot right now which is the UNKNOWN my dad is passing to cancer good and bad days but now more bad than good.see i understand as iam looking after dad alone its extremly hard but Sherri hold on to all memories maybe keep a diary day by day for you to help you reflect as you may think you will remember things but mate we forget as we can only take so much for me god has kept me going faith helped me.
Ihope your dad goes in peace pain free acceptance is everything you do all those things for dad that you maybe havnt been able to even if it is a story of good memories of the passed love him like anything as you are for you wouldnt be here you are a wonderful daughter just be there for him tenderly i feel your pain as-we are both loosing our dads iam thinking of you and your family in this time of great sadness.

Hi casey7,

I appreciate your response. It is my uncle that has the leukemia,
not my dad,he is my dad's brother though. It is hard on my family,
but,I am sure it is much harder for you losing your dad to it.
I'll say a prayer for your father.Take care,Sherri
