I symptoms seemed to be at bay until recently.
I have alot of stress come into my life and it really effected me physically approx 4 months ago. I had a severe flare up and I had not had anything this bad since earlier this year (January). This one was so bad my drugs didn't even help (Lyrica, Clonazepam, and Celebrex). Doc increased my Lyrica and the stress resolved and I started to feel better.
But lately I have been having more pain. I wake up in the morning and it feels like my bones are just going to break. Intense joint pain from my neck to my feet. I think it may be due to the weather changing. I live in Illinois and it goes from 60 to 40 then back again lately. I have arthris as well which doesn't help with the fibro symptoms.

There is a new symptom that has me alittle on edge. I notice during this last flare up and this recent am pain thing that I have the feeling that I don't have control of my muscles. I feel real shaky and like if I don't concentrate when I am moving around that I may just collapse. Almost, out of body type thing - I am watching my arm move but not sure if it will make it to its destination.
I have a tendancy to have low blood sugar reactions in the AM and I thought thats what it was but today the shakiness never went away. I have felt muscle weakness throughout my body most of the day. I freaked out a co-worker today when I reached out to get her glass and my hand was shaking. It didn't stop until I had hold of the glass even then I wasn't sure if I could carry it.
I have felt weakness and fatigue in my muscles before but never to this extreme. Even while typing this post it has been difficult to controll my fingers.
Not sure if this is something new that I will have to deal with during a flare up or if it is something completely different.
Any suggestions?

Maybe ask your primary doc if he thinks you should see a neurologist.

I am in Illinois also. I am flaring too with the cold fronts. This last one on Fri/Sat really hit hard and again today 11/13 it was nice and now it is going to rain again.

I hope you feel better soon.

Is it fatigue?? Sometimes I feel like I will just collapse. My fatigue is bad, but to lose control of muscles, no. Make an appointment with your doc and do not quit until you are sure that they have alleviated anything that can cause lose of muscle control. I have every symptom there is and every spot is bad, but I have not lost control of my muscles. That is new.

Oh, and I live in Michigan too. I found it is more the humidity than the cold weather. I live in lower MI but I am ok when I visit the upper. Less humid up there. Yep, we all need that dry weather and I am ready. Gl

Boy, i can sure relate to you on that! I have had fibro for 23 years. I'm from indiana and ironically, yesterday, i was shaking from head to toe and couldn't stop it! I had no control whatsoever! That's a very scary feeling to say the least! My dad had stopped by( he also suffers with the intense shaking) and when i tried to hand him something he said "omg why are you shaking so bad"? I had no clue i told him. I see many specialists as i have alot of the illnesses that come along with fibro. Tmj,cfs, ddd, migraines, anxiety and panic attacks, ibs, and short term memory to name a few. The humidity, dryness, rain, cold or hot affect me all the same. It's horrible to suffer like this as many of you know. With the ibs my meds don't stay in my system long enough to be effective for my pain. What a dilema! I so wish i had even a bit of relief between my flare-ups yet my pain never gives me a break. I am sorry to hear of your suffering and hope for you to find relief. Take care and hopes you will feel better very soon.

I also live in Illinois- almost in Wisconsin, it's so far north.....understand about the temp thing; I'm trying to get back to TX, where I did so much better.

I had horrible problems with Lyrica- made me so out of it, a doc tried to wake me up in the hospital, and left significant bruising- from the intensity of his pinching, and being on blood thinners. I was doped out of my skull. I was given it for seizures...I was too out of it to have it be worth anything in my situation. Just a heads up that Lyrica can make other drugs that have sedative properties more sedating, and it can cause extreme sedation on its own....could be a reason for the out of body feelings.....

I am feeling better today. My husband was really concerned about me last night. After I posted, I started to feel dizzy and nausa - had to lye down rest of night. I really had to concentrate to find the right words. I haven't felt that bad in over a year - before I started my meds and watching/changing my lifestyle.

I am pretty sure it wasn't due to fatigue. I haven't slept that great since last Thursay but it has been enough to keep me from needing a nap.

Today I am still alittle shaky but don't have to concentrate as hard to function. I am not sure if it was just a really bad flare or what. It just doesn't seem the same as others I have had in the past. It hit hard and fast then seemed to go away as fast as it hit. Maybe it was a combo between the weather change and hormonal change (period) that just sent me for a loop.

My massage therapist asked me if I have been tested for MS when I told her about it. Funny thing, I was thinking the same thing and have been doing alittle research. I am alittle confused as to the symptoms and what the criteria are to determine if you may have it.

I have been on Lyrica for almost a year now. Have had no side effects from it (that I am aware of) not even sleepiness. My doc gave it to me for the pain in my hands and it has worked miracles. I have more problems when I don't take it.

Gunner - I have had that problem also... Especially due to the weather, rainy or cold... I live in Kentucky and its that great Ohio Valley weather thing. When my hands get like that I won't even do the dishes, I have broken way to many thinking I had control and didn't... Talk to your doc and see what he thinks.. I was given Lyrica for restless leg syndrome and it didn't do any good for that or my Fibro however if it is working for you that is great.

Good luck, we all have our crazy little symptoms... Jenn
