Hello everyone. I had LEEP performed in May of '05. My last two paps have come back, Endocervical transformation component zone not present or scant. The doctor believes I may have some scar tissue from LEEP making it difficult to get the ECC's. On Thursday I go in to have my cervix dilated & to get a pap. Has anyone ever had this procedure done?? Just was hoping to get an idea of what to expect....
Wishing everyone the best!

Hi, sorry you are going through this. I havent been through it personally but my doctor did explain to me that there is a small risk this could happen. I guess you have fallen into this small group. He told me that if I had pain and wasnt having periods that this woudl be a sign, is this what happened to you out of interest?
I dont think its anything to worry about and a Very quick procedure. Let me know how you get on and good luck.

Hi Smith, thanks for replying. Sounds like you have a pretty cool doctor. I have been on the pill for over ten years now, so my periods are like clock work. As for pain, I have been having lots of different symptoms, but I believe most of it caused by an ovarian cyst I have in my right ovary. My doctor drew the conclusion I need to be dilated by the "Endocervical transformation zone not present or scant" popping up on my pap results. I go in tomorrow, so I will let you know how it goes! :)

Very quick procedure indeed, and very simple. I was expecting some high tech gadget or something, and it looked like a plastic stick basically. It felt no different than a normal pap. Minor cramping immediately after, but feeling absolutely nothing now. Also good news, I told her I was not comfortable waiting three months to track the status of my cyst, so she scheduled the ultrasound immediately. I go in on the 20th for that. Of course with the holiday coming up, I imagine I will be waiting quite awhile for results for both. I really hate the waiting part, but who doesn't....
Weekend is around the corner though, also good news :)

Day two, still no problems. I did notice some minor spotting yesterday & a bit today. All in all nothing to worry about for those that may have this problem come up post LEEP.
