Janito~
I feel yor frustration!! They don't realize the inconvenience they cause when they rescedule and when you feel the time is near and then BOOM, wait another month, I would certainly feel angry and frustrated too.
I had a 3 month wait to see the neuro and I thought it would never get here. It did and I went. Now its starting the test for me so I still haven't gotten anywhere. But believe me when I tell you, the time does fly by and December is right around the corner!!
Remember, stress is the worste thing you can let into your life. Try to rest and enjoy the upcoming holiday. Focus on that and your family and you'll pull through!!
My thoughts are with you

Hi Janito,
Would it be a shorter wait and less disruptive to your life to have the testing done as an outpatient?
Obviously I don't know your situation, but I had all of the tests you mentioned as an out patient. MRI took an hour, one morning before work. LP took 1.5 hours (20 mins for test, 1 hour to rest after), so I scheduled the appointment for afternoon and took a half day from work. EMG also took less than an hour. All of these appointments were on separate days, but it meant I had to take very little time off work. (I'm in Ireland too)
Having said that, it will probably take about a month to get an out patient appointment too. I thought I'd just mention it as another option.
I know it's frustrating. I hope you get your answers soon. And as Cindy said, try not to stress too much.

Hi cat,
It took me four months to see the neuroligist and im private!! The first MRI I had took only 2 weeks I think they thought I had a brain tumour first off. I know if your in and around Dublin your seen alot quicker im in the bog and have to wait for the specialist to be in Galway clinic, well thats 2 guys the neuro and the physician. Ive kinda carmed down a bit now had a bit of a hissy fit and rearranged the family and stuff and im calmer now. Thanks again talk to you soon janito:)

Hi,
Yes, I am in Dublin. It's easy to forget things aren't the same all over the country. As desperately short of MS specialists as we are, at least Dublin has a few. It must be tougher to see one, down the country.
I'm glad you are feeling calmer and more positive. A hissy fit is always good! Sometimes you just need to let it out and blow off some steam.
