I am so sorry...and I honestly do not know what is available....but you may want to look to your local state for resources maybe even AG for your state to see if the job loss was legal....or the cancer society may have additional resources for him...good luck

Most pharmaceutical companies have programs to provide free or reduced price drugs to patients that cannot afford them. Talk to your father's doctor about applying for these programs. Your doctor will need to complete a form that is then submitted to the pharmaceutical company. The doctor should be able to get the forms, otherwise you can get them off of the pharma company website.

my friend had cancer. she was able to get on ss disability (federal program). he could try on his own first, then if denied, he needs a lawyer specializing in disability cases. it is his choice, but i would go in with a lawyer. the lawyer does'nt get any money unless he wins his case. the money owed to your dad if he is accepted is retroactive from the day he applied, and the lawyer gets, i think, 1/4 of that.
hope this was helpful to you...i am so so sad that this happed to your dad.
take care....bevann
