Hi Everyone! I used to be a member here and wonder if any of the people that were members a few years ago might still be members? I used to be momof5angels aka sharon. Does anyone remember me? I do have MS. Please let me know if you remember me! Thanks

Welcome back. Neosho is a small town. Do you see the doctor in Columbia or Kansas City or Tulsa? I tried a neuro in Joplin, but his bedside manner was terrible. I go to KUMC every 6 months.

Thanks Jayhawk! I don't see a doctor anymore on my MS. I stopped seeing doctors after they made me sicker and sicker. I used to go to a group of doctors in Hot Springs, AR. I did live in NW Arkansas. Since I was dx with MS and did the Betaseron I have had nothing but health problems. The doctors put me on all kinds of drugs and I became sicker and sicker. I ended up losing my gallbladder, having a total hysterecdmy (spelling) and my sleen removed. It was after that when they wanted to take out my Right kidney that I said ENOUGH. So I don't see doctors anymore, it's all about pushing drugs anymore anyways. There are very few good doctors anymore.

So now I take good care of myself, take all natural things and exercise and NO Precription drugs, and guess what? NO flare up's in 3 years now, no problems at all actaully. And I was in a wheelchair at one time. So that is my story! So where is it that you live in MO?

Thanks for writing to me ;)

I live in SE KS, but that is as much as the board allows....sorry!
I never did the med route. I use a power chair about 90% of the time at home.
You have really gone through a rough time. I see the doctors at KUMC. They do not push meds on me nor have they ever tried.

My roofing contractor's wife was over medicated for too long before the found MS. She is now on the road to med free healing.

Keep positive!!!!! :)

Sharon, I wasn't around when you were first here, but welcome back!

Like you (and MSJayhawk) I am not on any DMDs.
