Hello-

It seems that we all know what types of foods trigger anxiety(caffeine, sugar, etc.), but what specific foods help anxiety? I am looking for specifics with personal experience, not just "eat more vegatables." I've heard that Banana's and Almonds are good...

Thank you so much for your help!

I found a good book at the library called Food& Mood by Elizabeth Somer (second edition).
She is a professional MA and RD. The information is delivered in an easy to read manner and her statements are supported by numerous studies which she explains as well. There is alot of information too much to include here. Besided foods she also mentions the role of vitamins and minerals. Very interesting and helpful.
I would think your library would have it or could order it . Good luck.

I have gone into great research about this and apart from the usual healthy eating add 3 brazil nuts daily to your diet - keep them in the fridge to stay fresh - they are rich in magnesium which apparently we are all deficient from because the soil in which our food has grown is now depleted of magnesium, also try to eat a large baked potato, skin too, at least 4 times a week as this is rich in potassium, I swear after 1 week I am less jittery.
