Unless, of course, you are talking about taking it prophylactically before cardio, in which case, frequency would depend on how many times you jog, dance, etc. dizzymommy 11-29-2007, 10:26 PM My two year old takes it every four hours when he's sick. If that lasts more than two or so days, we move on to prednisone. Have you tried preventives? If you're talking about how much at one time...it can only open your airway so much, so don't keep taking it if it's not working, go to the doctor because you need another treatment. agnes2007 12-12-2007, 04:23 PM If your child is taking so much albuterol and it's not helping, it is possible that she/he has a genetic variant that makes her/him not responsive to this drug.
