Sponsor mrsgroove 11-19-2007, 07:56 PM I don't think that elderberry is meant to be taken every day like a supplement. From what my naturopath has told me, it is for acute symptoms only. I have used it and it cuts down on mucous. Hope that helps! rosalie23 12-16-2007, 03:09 PM I have not been able to get Sambucol this fall. It certainly does work if you take it the moment you start to get a cold and continue until you are sure the cold is licked. If you take it in time, a single dose is often all that is needed. No companies seem to be able to get it from the manufacturer. I have gone to the elderberry capsules and they seem to be good. rita 12-16-2007, 06:32 PM Sambucol has been withdrawn by the manufacturing company because it was found that it contained a preservative which was not listed in its list of ingredients. It may be reformulated and back on shelves sometime in the future but that is not a certainty. |
