My doctor just started me on Lyrica. He started me on a low dose of 75 mg, and if I feel okay (i.e. no side effects), I'm supposed to take two 75 mg pills after a week. Is it okay to take them both at bedtime, or should I take one in the morning and 1 at night?

I was told to take 1 in the morning and 1 at night. I didn't get any relief from that at all after three weeks. I stopped to expensive to not work.

Good luck.......

Yes, it is O.K. to take both at bedtime, that is how I started, then I went to 2 at night and one in the morning, finally I am at 2 at night and 2 in the morning. We are all different, this medicine will help some and some may not have any benefit from it, but it has helped me immensely, so I wish you luck, and don't quit after 2 or 3 weeks, it just needs time to work up to the dosage you need.

I have Fibro and 2 weeks ago was prescribed Lyrica 50mg at bedtime . I'm very sensitive to meds so doc will see me again in 1 month to increase dose. So far no side effects.
If your uncertain of when to take your dosages, maybe a call to doctor office would be best. nurse can pull your chart and see what your doc wrote for when to take dosages. I've heard of people taking this daytime and bedtime so it may be wise to give a call instead of second guessing.
I've read where side effects can be vision problems, anyone experience this?
I have macular degeneration and certainly do not need anymore vision problems.
Hope Lyrica can be a benefit to all of us that have been prescribed too.

From my understanding Lyrica is time released.
I am supposed to take 50mg three times a day but only take it twice because I haven't been able to work in the third pill to my schedule before I have to take my other pain pill (Clonazepam) for bed. If I take both of them at night it just wipes me out and I wake up loopy in the am.
If you get sleepy when you take lyrica you may want to be careful taking it in the am/day.
You should definitely check with your doctor to determine when he suggest you take your dosages.

I have had fibromyalgia for 20yrs. I was researching fibro on the web and found Lyrica was approved for Fibromyalgai June 2007 so last week when I went to my Dr. I asked her if she thought this was something that would help me. She said yes and started me on 75mg twice aday. Now I haven't had a good night sleep in many yrs and I am not teasing....after two days I have slept EVERY single night...six in a row...this is a miracle for me...also my Dr gave me a 7 day diary with the 1 to 10 pain chart on it, I have went from a 8 to a 1 to a 0 ....Miracle!! :angel:my Dr gave me a 7 day starter pack and a prescription for 100mg twice aday after I finish the starter pack..but my insurance gave me the substitute , generic for neurontin, which is Gabapentin, I hope this will be as good as the Lyrica, has anyone else changed from Lyrica to Gabapentin?? If so did you notice a difference and what was the difference.
