Dear Linda,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I can't say that I know exactly everything you're feeling, but having lost a dear sibling years ago, I feel I can sympathize with you.
I'm sure I speak for all of us here...we were so hoping Don would make a recovery.
I felt the heartfelt sadness in everyone's posts, as he was losing his fight.
You painted him as such a lovely human being, with everything in life going for him. I think all of us here grew to love him, too, from your lovely description of him & his family.
Why God chooses to take our loved one's home "before their time," will always be a quandary. It's not fair. Life is not fair.
You've told me over & over in this forum to "look for the rainbow."
And, I know it's there. It's just cloudy sometimes, and then the sky opens up, and there it is. Sometimes it just takes time to find it.
Don put up an incredible fight. He gave a lot of us strength here, through you.
I wish I could contact you in person.
You know I'm on here frequently, and anytime you want to talk...
I'll be here for you. You've been an amazing friend to me & many of us here.
May God help you find strength during this difficult time.
My heart is so heavy. I would love to help out.
Love, S.

Thank you Singer And Nassau One for your condolences,
I am trying to keep moving so I am cleaning the house and taking time to go online. I would like to print each and every one of your posts and give them to Don's family so they know how much you all cared. That would mean alot to me and to them. It is hard to lose someone you loved so much but I have to believe that he is at peace and happy with all the family that have gone on to Heaven. Momentarily I was mad at God but I know that not all prayers are answered in the way that we want them to be. I can only pray now that he is well and happy and whole. My daughter , bless her heart, just bought me a burning bush that is called a love tree and my darling Larry is planting it in our garden. He is buying me a stone so I can engrave Don's name and My Mom's name on it in honor of our love for them both. I am so very blessed to have a family that has the capcity to extend love beyond all other for one another. We are not perfect but we all loved each other very much.

Thank you again for being there when I needed to vent and to hope.

Love
Linda

Dear Linda,
I can't get you & Don off my mind.
This forum is wonderful, yet I so badly would love to talk in person.

I think you're showing amazing strength today.
I have a burning bush, and wasn't aware it was called a "love tree."
That's a really lovely thing to do, in honor of your mom & Don.
I've often wondered, having lost my sister, who was there to help her to the "Other Side." I'm sure your mom was there to help Don.

Just wanted you to know, I'm thinking of you.
love, S.

Linda,

If only there were sonething that friends could say or do
Some way they might express their thoughts and help to comfort you...
And yet, perhaps just knowing that there are those who care
Will help, at least in some small way, to ease the loss you bear.

Sending sympathy to you and your family.

Linda,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Words are never sufficient at times like this, so I'll pray for you and Don's family.

I hope it gives you some comfort to know that there are many people that are here to give you comfort and support anytime you need it.

May God watch over you and yours and give you strength and peace.

Love,

Eva

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through. I know that not everyone has the same beliefs but I think that there is a heaven and that Don is watching over you and your family now.

All my love

Dear Linda,
I am so terribly sorry to hear of Don's passing. He sounded like an incredible person, just like you. I will pray that you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. I just lost my grandmother last week. I am going to tell her to look for Don.
All my love,
marn

Thank you everyone.....you are all so dear to me.
I have forwarded on your messages to Don's wife. They will appreciate them all. I am doing ok. I know that Don is in a better place. I have to accept
that. I am trying to keep myself busy. When I am alone I do my crying.
I talk to Don all day. If someone saw me they would think I lost my marbles.

My Dad is doing good considering. He is dealing with this better than I would have thought. He cries but that is good. He did not want him to be in pain and when he had seen him hooked up to all the machines it broke his heart.
He knows that he is at peace. It will be hard but we are a strong family.

Again, Thank you all and God Bless you all. Your thoughts and prayers mean so much.

Love
Linda

I just got home from the RICE chemo and not feeling the best. I was going to start a thread but it can wait. I just wanted to say how sorry I am Linda. Don put up a terrific fight and he's my hero. Always remember, you'll never be alone Linda. God has sent you an angel.

Hugs and love,
