I got my first period around the 8th of October and it stopped around the 16th, but it has not come back so far. I'm really scared and my mum is beginning to get paranoid.
Help? :confused::confused:

Your first period ever was last month? Then it could be several months before your next one appears. I think I had one right after my 11th birthday, and the second six months later. It can take years before periods start coming regularly, and some women do not have a perfect 28-day cycle ever. Mine was 40 days in my teens, and 35 now.

In short, unless you have some other reason to believe there's something wrong, and assuming you haven't had sex in the past 3 weeks, relax! And tell your mom to relax, too.

And welcome to womanhood, isn't it grand?

This is normal! A lot of girls have irregular periods that come late during the first year or so of their periods. Some people have irregular periods ALL the time. I did and went on the pill to make them regular and to help with my stomach aches I was getting. I was throwing up every month and would have to go home from school and could not keep doing that! During my first year of having my period, I only had my period ONCE during the entire school year... so it's nothing to worry about if you do not get yours in exactly a month or so.

Oh Boyy XD

If you have never had sex (or fooled around with a guy without underwear on) then you are not pregnant.

If you are still relatively new to menstration, your body might not yet have figured out how to menstrate regularly. If they did come regularly and then stopped, and you've missed a couple in a row, you might want to see a doctor to figure out what's going on, especially if you are also not feeling well.

Weight loss or stress can sometimes cause missed periods, for example.

Good luck!

If you have never had sex or been in contact with semen, you will not get pregnant! No worries! What signs are you experiencing? It is normal to feel some weird things when you are getting used to your period. I used to get nauseous every time. The only way you can get pregnant without having sex would be if a guy ejaculates outside of you and the semen gets inside of you somehow.

Thanks everyone. I did indeed get my period after that, so now no worries. ^_^ And no paranoid mum either. Yay!
