Neighbor had a case of the shingles about 1 month ago, took Valtrex and Predisone, she is pretty good after that episode, now here is the problem, she is running a low grade fever, no appedite and very down and tired. She had a Mitral Valve replacement and is 80 years old. They gave her the 3 culture blood test, Sed Rate Test, CBC Test, Lip Test and White count and urine. Nothing has showed up, what is up with this woman? The doctor can't seem to find anything wrong but there is something wrong with this woman? She is going down the hill as I write. Her temp is about 100.4 and then drops, then again 100.3 and then drops. This goes on all day everyday for the past 2 weeks, do you think it has to do with the after effects of Shingles or what. She has no pain and all the sores are completely gone. Is there any other blood test that they have forgotten and maybe we can ask to have it done. The doctor said if she isn't better in another few days he who would see what he can do, he is an Internist and seems to be pretty good at looking into all these things.
