I just noticed that Dec. 6th will be the one year anniversary of my husband's start on Keppra. He has not had any seizures since then. His last seizure was just before he started the Keppra. It has been quite a few years since he has gone that long without seizures. It has been a great feeling of relief for both of us. :)

Congratulations to you and your husband!

It's so good to see a success story on the boards, gives us all a glimmer of hope.

Good luck,
Eilidh

My husband dozes all the time, but at his age (84), it is no big deal. I think part of it is the meds, but not all. As long as he remains seizure free, that is all we can ask. I don't think that the Keppra has made him any more sleepy than before. His main early side effect was feeling cold all the time and he has lost some weight, but I don't know if that is the Keppra or not. His daily hiccups may be the Keppra and Dilantin, but we are not sure about that either.
