Hello everyone. I have just found this site and thought you all seem like really nice people so I would join up. I'm Karrianne and me and my DH have been TTC for three years now. He is set in his ways and doesn't want to go the the doctors for tests but I am starting to worry that something is wrong. we have tried all sorts of traditional methods but so far nothing has worked. It seems like all I ever see are pregnant women and the only reason my and my DH BD anymore is to TTC it's all about timing and temps, it seems more like a military operation lol.
sorry for the rant but I felt like I had to get that off of my chest. any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome Aboard!
You said you take temps... are you ovulating? Many of us use Basal Body Temperatures (BBT) and Cervical Fluid (CF) to help track our cycles. And a must read book is Taking Control of Your Fertility which helps explain all the things we should know about our bodies, but few of us do! It makes sense of your cycle and helps your maximize your change for getting pregnant.
Have you seen a ob/gyn and explained the situation to her/him? 3 years is a long time!
About DH, maybe he just needs some more information about what might and might not be required of him. Fear of the unknown is miserable! I think, for the first wave of testing all he would need to do is give a sample. ;)
Best of luck!

Hi and welcome
I would go see an OB/GYN or Fertility spec even if you go for your own benefit and ask DH to come for moral support, once he's there he may find it's not so bad and scary. I think men see it as a threat to there manhood if the problem is a low sperm count, but lets face it, it's not the end of the world. There are so many ways that technology can help us out these days. Anyway I wish you all the best and keep us posted.

I understand. My husband tells me I only want him for his sperm. ;) I agree with the other posters, especially Cashahn. He is probably worried about his manhood.

Thank you all for your support.
I have been tracking my bbt and I ovulate regular as clockwork. it's just so infuriating lol.
Thanks Yulata I will be on the look out for that book. I have read numerous things online that are "guaranteed to get you pregnant" there was me thinking there were no guarantees in life but aparently if you paid $40 odd you can lol. so it's good to get reccomendations from you guys :)
I know that Dh is feeling threatened. I mentioned to him that I go and get checked over but he was a bit shocked by that. I think he feels like it's his fault that I'm not PG and if I get checked over and everything comes back ok then he will feel worse. I dunno if I'm making any sense here or not lol

You are making perfect sense and I think the best way to get through to DH is to reasure him that this is not about finding someone to blame or point the finger at, its about finding a solution to a problem so that you both can fulfil your dream of having a baby. Good luck.

Wait on getting checked til after you get the book. There is a section in the book that describes all the tests the women have to go through and then the ones the men have to go through. Let him see what all you are going to have to go through to find out if the issue is with you. Then point out what little he has to do to find out if the issue is with him. Tends to be a good motivator for men to see how little they have to deal with when it comes to this kind of testing.
I didnt get the book til after my second son was born and we started ttc our 3rd. But we had issues with ttc #2 so dh already knew how easy his tests were compared to mine and how many I had to go through. So when he is asked to do his part he doesnt hesitate. Granted he doesnt like it but he does it.
But the book is truly one of the best things to invest in when ttc no matter how long you have been ttc.
Good luck.

Hi there. I agree with Blastoff9600, TCOYF is the best invetment I ever made. DH and I were TTC for over a year with our first until I boutght that book and got loads of great tips.
As for your DH. it's understandable that his manhood will be feeling a little threatened. However he need to understand that these tests are only here to help you get the BFP. It is clearly something which you both want badly if you have been TTC for three years. I think once the two of you have read the book then he will be more willing to give the tests a try.
good luck sweetie
