I'm now using my self tanner from lastsummer and its working great. There's no expiry date on my bottle. claudia80 11-19-2007, 03:54 PM I have always head that the chemicals do go bad over time...how fast will depend ho wit is stored. The colder the environment the better. Your best bet is to usually get new products after a year or year and a half. tUrRrRa 11-19-2007, 08:21 PM I've had self tanner that has lasted for a while, but I usually use it up before TOO long. How long have you had yours? I would say if the self tanner is separating or the smell has changed, toss it out. Also read the bottle because SOME have expiration dates (some don't). I would think if anything it might not work as well and should not be dangerous or anything. I wouldn't keep it for 5 years or anything, but I've had products I've used that were a couple years old and they were definitely fine. For things like eye makeup (mostly mascara and eyeliner), it's recommended to replace these more often since you don't want bacteria in your eye! |
