For some reason over the past few weeks/ months I ahve seemed to just feel different. After explaining myself to a nurse, she requested me talk to my dr. about everything. I ahve not done it yet. I typed soem of my symptoms in, and it came back with MS. I know symptoms can be anything, but most of them....pointed to MS. I just wonder if there is something else it could be.

Headaches daily behind my left eye only. (went to the optometrist, got a new script.....wear the glasses, no change at all)
standing still, I feel like I am rocking back and forth.
I ahve always had good balance, but it seems to really be bad more than good lately.
I have to get up probably 2-3 times more a night to use the restroom. I have a small bladder though.
I am always thirsty
After sitting with my legs crossed for not even five minutes....my feet begin to tingle and go to sleep.
I feel lightheaded almost every day
I get nauseous and loose my appetite often.

Any help is appreciated. I cannot go see the dr. right now, changing insurance, so I don't have it.

all of the symptoms that you discussed I have had and they do relate to my MS,(I do have a definite dx of MS) except for the nauseous and lose of appetite but that could be anything and could certainly be something that corresponds with MS.
MS affects each person differently and the other symptoms I certainly have had and continue to live with at times.
I thought I could possibly have MS for 8 years until I finally went to the neuro and got a definite dx. If you can hold off then I can understand. You're not the only person who has done so.

nell, it's frightening to have symptoms and not know what they're due to. Also tempting to self-diagnose, especially in the absence of insurance! But please do be careful. It could be any number of things -- and sometimes not even anything to worry about. :) That said, some of your sx sound consistent with Diabetes -- have you looked into that?

I have had all those problems, like you. Changing insurance is a bummer. I went 2 years without insurance while awaiting Medicare to start.

The best thing?? REST, Drink plenty of water, avoid stress, avoid stress, avoid stress (Say that three times instead of 'Ho Ho Ho'!!). :) Smile and stay positive. Focus on those things that strengthen your mettle.

Hi Nell,
I have to agree with Beary. You need to be checked for diabeties. I'am a diabetic and can have all of those symptoms, especially if you are always very thirsty and of course that would be why you get up in the middle of then night to use the washroom....It could be a number of things but yes you reallly do need to be checked....keep us informed ....and good luck to you ..
