Ok, so i got osteoporosis from anorexia as a teenager. I am taking birth control pills and actenol. But, I have heard actenol is only to slow down bone loss, but i dont have bone loss, I never acheived full bone mass because os anorexia. I have read that teripartatide (forteo) is the best drug at actually building muscle. Others just stop it from breaking down. Anyone?

Hi,
Sorry to hear you have osteoporosis - do you know what your T score is? Forteo does work and fairly quickly like I saw progress after 3 months. Be careful about the bisphosphonates medicaton because it's very hard on your GI system especially if you plan to take medicaton for years.

Hi, I got osteoporosis at 38 (or thats when i found out) and my t score is -2.5. you are on the forteo? what kind of results have you seen?? How long have you been on it? Yes, you are right, actenol is killing my GI, I have vocal cord problems because of it, so i am going off......
