Pain in my upper left rib area [Archive] - HealthBoards Message Boards

I have been having pain in my upper left rib area for over a week. I went to the ER and they did an EKG which was normal. So I know I'm not having a heart attack, but I still don't know why I'm in constant pain. If anyone has any advice on what this could be, please share!

If it's not your heart, it could be some of the muscles or other soft tissue in your chest or shoulder, or maybe even a hurt rib. Might you have injured yourself? Or used the arm too much?

See that's just it I haven't hurt myself. I read on the Mayo Clinics site it might be my spleen, any thoughts on that? Thanks for your response!;)
