well just thought i would share and see if anyone had any thoughts, opinions....

i decided to stop the birth control pill this month (last period was 10/31, should have started new pack of pills 11/4)... we BD on 11/7, 11/12, 11/14 ....seeing as how i had a big ovarian cyst last month (my first), hypothyroidism and have been on the pill for 8 yrs, i assume it will take us a long time to conceive. i am not charting or anything but did use a $ store opk on 11/13, 11/14 and 11/15. on 11/13 the line was pretty dark but didn't match the control line. just the TINIEST sliver on the edge was as dark and the 2 days after kept getting lighter and lighter so i am not sure if i ovulated or not this month.

now i have been having weird reactions on my skin (had a rash on my cheeks one night), have creamy white and yellowish cm, only had a cramp once, extremely tired, ferocious appetite but calmed with a little food like toast with butter, which even gives me indigestion... and frequent peeing and achy hip/thigh/buttock on one side

i would think it would be too early to be preg symptoms and highly unlikely we would have conceived our first month, but just a thought., i enjoy reading everyone's post =)

Hi Gallygirl,

The creamy cervical mucus is probably from ovulation (usually described as raw egg whites) and you will know for sure if in two weeks you get your period. The pain you are getting on one side may also be from ovulation. I went off the pill after a very long time and it took me about three weeks to start ovulating. I too have a rather large cyst on my left ovary so my ovulation pains were quite pronounced. I am not sure if the cyst developed while on the pill or as soon as I got off it.

If you don't mind my asking, how did they find your cyst .. through ultrasound ? and how are they planning to manage it ? I assume it is a simple functional cyst (ie. fluid filled). Normally it is advised to use some other form of birth control after stopping the pill if you are trying to concieve. I believe this is so that your body can return to its normal cycles and staging the baby's development can be done more accurately. Perhaps you should speak to your doctor about all of this.

All the best.

I also went off the pill about 5 months ago after 10 years on them. Each month my ovulation pain and symptoms get worse and worse, and believe me, it's easy to mistake it for possible early pregnancy symptoms.

Some people get pregnant right after going off the pill, while it takes a while for others to regulate.

You might indeed be pregnant, but beware of mistaking hormones, feelings, cramps, aches, etc. that you haven't felt in a while because of the pill for possible pregnancy symptoms. It'll drive you crazy.

It took me 10 months to get pregnant after stopping the pill, but I was on them for like 10 or 11 years. It took my cycles like 6 or 7 months to be regular. But everyone is different. When I did get pregnant my cm was similar to what you have now, so good luck!
