I miscarried 11/8. At least that is when the bleeding started. My doctor told me I could start trying again after my first period. He said it could be 4-6 weeks from the miscarriage. That means I have to wait 6-8 weeks before I ovulate. I hate waiting!!!
Anyone else TTC after a miscarriage?

Blue & Lost, I am so sorry for your losses. I miscarried 10/11. I was told I did not have to wait to start trying again, which of course I wasn't going to do anyway! AF came on the 3rd of this month and I should have ovulated towards the end of last week. AF is due again on Dec 1st. As if miscarrying wasn't enough, my pap also came back abnormal and I am going tomorrow to have a colpo. I'm a little nervous about that b/c I've read that a biopsy should not be peformed if you are pregnant. If we were successful this month, it is definitely too early to know. I just wonder if he sees something, will he take a chance and do the biopsy? Like so many other women, I never imagined it would be so hard to GET pregnant and STAY pregnant!

So sorry for everyone...I miscarried on 10/8. RE told me to wait 3 periods before starting again. I was also told that it could take up to 6 weeks for my period to return. I guess my body was not too traumatized because I had a typical cycle following the m/c.
I know my sister-in-law was also told 3 cycles not only for the physical aspect, but also emotional/mental. Her doctor told her she would less likely have post-partum if she was more emotionally ready.
Best of luck with trying again!

Thanks for sharing! Good luck to all of you.
I didn't ask, but I assumed I was told to wait so that it would be easier to date the pregnancy. My last AF was 9/30. I miscarried at 11/8. If I get pregnant before my next cycle, I think it would be very hard to try and figure out my dates, other than an u/s of course.

Hello, all. Sympathies and well wishes to all. I miscarried on 01/04/07 at 10.5 weeks and no luck yet TTC :(
Doctor says all is well and not to worry. Yeah, right! HSG is normal and will has Pelvis U/S Tues. 11/27. Doing these tests at doc's recommendation prior to trying artificial insemination at beginning of year.
Cycles are normal (28 days like clockwork) and all tests point to fertility, but no luck yet. DH checks out healthy, too. Aside from the obvious (de-stressing), does anyone have any suggestions?
Trying not to think/worry obsess too much. Wish me luck....
Me: 38.11
DH: 43
Yes, we are older, but we both come from VERY fertile families! VERY!
TTC Since: Feb. 06 (first time)
Miscarried: 01/04/07
TTC Since: Mar 07

I'm sorry for your loss! I just found out that my pregnancy had terminated itself today. This is my second m/c and it took us almost a year to get pregnant this time. I will most likely start BD as soon as my m/c is determined complete. I heard that we are more fertile the 3 months following a m/c, so I don't want to miss that chance! This time I don't even want to find out I'm pregnant until I start showing! I feel like as soon as I get a BFP I start having complications. I'm sure we will carry to term eventually. Don't lose hope and don't worry. I think we all try to make things happen instead of letting God do his job. perhaps the lord has a purpose for you or your child in the future. I figure I'd like for God to use my child and maybe in turn it will give him/her a reason for living. I know I will be talking to you all very soon in the pregnancy board soon! I'll pray for lots of healthy sticky baby dust for everyone! Good Luck!

I know how you feel about BFP and problems. I think I will wait until I miss two periods before I test next time.

i totally agree and im not telling anyone(even though the fam was great and im so glad they were there for DH) until after the first trimester. I almost made it this time i had a m/c at exactly 10 wks to the day and had to have an emergency d and c because they couldn't get me to stop bleeding i know it just happened (11-02-08) but im ready to start ttc again while everyone else thinks i should wait but i dont wanna miss that fertile period either, i figured 6 to 8 wks and im gonna start ttc,i have read that usually a m/c within the first trimester doesn't mean that you (the mother) are unhealthy so why not try again right away. Best wishes to eveyone who has ever been where i am or has wanted "30 min or something wonderful instead of a lifetime of nothing special at all"
