Hi Just wonder if any one can give me some advise. My period is 2 weeks late. Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for about 6 months. I have done 3 hpt and they have all come back negative, as far as I am aware I am not showing any symtoms of pregnancy other then maybe slightly increased appitite and really bloated. What do you suggest I do? Does it sound like im pregnant?
Thanks x

Hey baby86 -
You might get more comments back on the TTC (trying to concieve) board.
But, your question.... You could wait a week and then test again if you havent started. Or you could go to the doc for a blood test. They are very accurate.
I hope you get your BFP! Good Luck!

Hi Baby and welcome. It may be that you ovulated later than you thought, are your cycles regular? Even people who have 28 day cycles can have a longer cycle every now and again. As the previous poster said you could have a blood test done as it's not unheard of to have a false negative. Wishing you all the best.

The blood test is a good way to go. Your body may not be secreting enough of the hormone HCG for the HPT to pick it up. Blood tests are much more sensitive.
If you know when you ovulated, then you could calculate approximatelywhen your period should be starting by your temp count after ovulation.
Try taking your basal body temperatures (if you have not done so already). You take your temperature every morning as soon as you wake up at the same time everyday. You will see (or should see) lower temperatures in the first half of your cycle and higher temperatures after you have ovulated. The higher temperatures indicate that ovulation has occured, then you will be able to tell when your period will arrive from the length your luteal phase which generally stays the same or within a few days.
Good luck!
