Is it ok to drink a little while on celexa? [Archive]

hi. This sounds like a stupid question but I am on Celexa 20 mg for a little over 2 weeks and it seems to be helping because I feel better during the day. I have also had insomnia and am I am currently on .5mg at night for sleep, the dr. wants to take me off of everything but the celexa (we shall see). Anyway, I am not a big drinker and have not tried any alcohol since starting celexa, but with Thanksgiving almost here my husband bought some wine coolers. Is it ok to have like 2 wine coolers? I am not talking about any more cause I don't like that smashed feeling you get when you are drunk.lol
I just don't want to hurt how far I have already come.

I drink a glass or so of Merlot occasionally on Celexa,and did when on Paxil too and never had a problem.Just may make you alittle tired,but I did fine.

i am taking celexa and have actually got drunk while taking celexa and it hasn't harmed me

I have been on celexa for 4 years now roughly and i will have a drink with dinner and things like that and dont notice anything funny happening.

I'm not sure about celexa, but when I changed to paxil I devloped a bit of a drinking problem, such as drinking to 'feel' certain emotions again because it numbed me quite a bit.
