Hello

CIN II is a spectrum of changes which are pre-cancerous.
There are 3 grades to the pre-cancerous changes which are:-
CIN I (small changes low grade)
CIN II (moderate changes)
CIN III (severe changes).

Please note that none of these changes are cancer, they are just stages which could become cancer years down the line if not treated. I had CIN III, and had them removed in June. I have my follow up soon, so keep your fingers crossed for me

thanks

Oh I know how frightening it all can be! I never thought this would happen to me at 24...I feel too young.

I have a good doctor who explained CIN III to me, but when I first found out I was a mess! I still am a mess in a way as its such a horrible thing to go through!
I wish you lots of luck and keep in touch!

Hi, there is a lot of information online about CIN III. Gynalternatives has a page which details the different stages and even shows diagrams of what these stages entail. (Note to moderator, I tried to e-mail to ask permission to post this site, as the Posting Policy requires, but my e-mail was returned to me as undeliverable. Is the address current?)

I was diagnosed with CIN III two years ago. In February of this year, I was diagnosed with CIS. I had laser vaporization surgery in May, and so far, my follow-up Pap tests have been negative (knock wood!)

Hang in there. You're not alone. We're all in this together. :)

Big hugs,

Lisa
