Hey Danielle, I have really bad muscle spasms due to tmd on my face, neck and scalp. Please don't be frightened by this, it will make you tense up and then more spasms if that is what it is. Try moist heat on the area, or a muscle relaxer and see if that helps and that will give you the answer. When it rains here, the muscles really act up or if I get upset my muscles really spasm. It's difficult to go with it, but changing your viewpoint on pain can change how badly your symptoms can get. Finding the right doctor to answer your questions is most important and trying to stay calm is quite the challenge. God Bless.
