Uhh... that's tricky. If it's the TMJ causing you to feel like you have water in your ear, then it's best to try to treat the TMJ.

I have the exact same problem, I think (I call it airplane ear instead). I've had it for over a year now and I can't seem to get my ears to unplug or that feeling to go away. My eardrums are physically closed at all times (they stopped regulating open/close phases for some reason). I know that the dislocation of my jaw due to stress has cause this.

If you can figure out what is causing your symptoms - then try your best on eliminating the core problems first.
