Hi everyone. I've had TMJ for two years, it effected the right side. The first symptom was clicking and popping without pain, my family doctor referred me to a specialist..I was on a waiting list for about 6 months. During those six months it got progressively worse...to the point where I would get lock jaw from eating lettuce. When I was diagnosed with TMJ I was given a splint to wear, and went through infra red therapy... nothing seemed to help. I started going to physiotherapy (about $5000 later) where they did acupuncture, electro therapy, laser and ultrasound theraphy..I got relief from these for about 1hour... I was loosing hope until my physio therapist asked me if I was interested in trying IMS...I obviously said yes because I was willing to try anything at that point.
IMS cured my tight muscles and I can eat normally again... it's been 3 weeks and I've never felt better.
