In the last week I think I have had two anxiety attacks, I have had them in the past but these are different and come out of the blue. I'm not sure what is going on...I know my mom has them and is on Xanax...but my husband always says he doesn't want me on any of the meds, because of addiction. I'm not even sure if that is what it is, so I don't know if I even need to take anything
Any little bit of feed back would be great!!!

I think I am a nervous natured person...if that sounds right!! I really think I am getting or have had an anxiety disorder that has not been diagnosed. Sometimes I think it is getting better, then I have days like yesterday and today that I have been a nervous wreck, and don't know why. I have had panic attacks that just come out of the blue, they are few and far between. So I'm not sure. I have had a lot of health issues in the last year, I think that may be a factor, and now my husband is going through a lot of testing for a heriditary heart condition so I think that may have me a LITTLE bit STRESSED!!! I know that healthboards has been a good place for me to get feed back, so hopefully if somebody reads my "venting" ;) it would be awesome to to hear what somebody with anxiety can tell me!!!

Well I am sorry to hear your getting them again also. Mine always came out of the blue. I could be sailing and having the best time just the sea and me and Bam! So I questioned it was stress then. Now I am under stress and they are back every morning.
You are proabaly worried about your husband and this is putting pressure on you.
Who knows why these attacks come on one day when your feeling great and other days when you expect to get one you don't?
I said in another post "That what we think about expands" so try to gear your mind to something else and breathe deep and slowly to control it.
People worry about zanax, I took it for years and had no problem stopping it anytime. I was on Paxil and had a rough time getting off. I won't take that again. I guess were all different but zanax does calm you immediately in 15 min. But you need to try looking at the tips suggested and back reading some of the posts to get ideas for yourself to help you. Breathe in a bag, deep breath, relaxation, music anything to take your mind away from it.

Thank You...i Work In A Pretty Calm Office (most Of The Time):)
But I Think If I Try Not To Let Things Get To Me And Take It One Day At A Time I'll Wait And See If They Still Come On And Then Talk To My Doc About It!!! Sometimes I Feel A Little Overwhelmed, And I Do Tend To Stress Out Pretty Easy, So I Will See How It Goes
