I just turned 40 this year. I'm trying to eat more fruits and veggies. Something that I always like to buy is green and red seedless grapes when I'm at the grocery store.

What kind of nutritional value do they have if any? Also, I like oranges. When in season I like strawberries, blueberries, peaches, and apples.

I haven't met a vegtable I didn't like yet. I need to eat more fruit though.

Any other suggestions would be helpful. I also like grapefruit too.

Reportedly, people in Ireland at the time of the potato famine managed to survive, if not prosper, on potatoes and milk.

I marvel at how resilient the organism is.

Pomegranates are in season right now! Dates! Figs!

How much of our Mediterranean history has been written in pages redolent with their odor!?

When you eat pomegranates, wear old clothes!

I love pomegranates.

All fruits have fiber, and berries tend to have vitamins, too.

Thanks guys... pomegranates?

How do you prepare them? What do you look for at the grocery store? How do you know when they are fresh or past their peak?

How do you enjoy your pomegranates?

They're in season in the fall, I have no idea how to tell if they're ripe but I've never gotten a green one. Had a delicious one over the weekend--huge, like most, so I shared it with friends.

You gently cut through the skin, it's about 1/4 inch thick. Then, you pull out a section of the inside. There are all these purple thingies. Each is sweet and strong-tasting. Each has a little white seed in the center. You put the purple pouch in your mouth and spit out the seed, like a cherry.

They're a lot of work, like eating whole crabs. But they're really tasty.

What fruit juices have the Acai Berry in them? Can you list a couple that the local grocery store may have?

I understand the Acai Berry comes from the Amazon Jungle in Brazil. I've never heard of it before you mentioned it here on this post.
