Hey guys. I need some help. Will someone tell me if these symptoms I'm about to list sounds like TMJ or not?


Clicking and popping sounds in my ears (usually occurs everyday and I can voluntarily make them pop and crack)

Popping and crackling sounds in my forehead and temples. Sounds like my sinuses are rubbing together or something. (I can also voluntarily make them pop and crack by moving my neck forward and from side to side)

Floaters. I notice a lot of floaters more than usual.

My nose always seems to be stuffy and dried up.

Sometimes I feel nausea and lightheadiness from time to time. Especially when I make my head make popping and crackling sounds.

Feeling of a foreign object in the back of my throat from time to time. Constantly clearing my throat.



I went to an ENT earlier this year and he said it was probably due to stress. I think its TMJ though. That's my only reasonable explaination. The only problem is that my jaw doesn't really hurt. I have noticed that when my mouth is open, I can't force the popping sounds in my head and ears. So, thats what makes me beleive its TMJ since the joint does connect to the skull. Any advise????
