Is it safe to have sex at the end of a genital herpes outbreak if my partner is wearing a condom? I mean when my blisters are healed and all done scabbing over.

Sex is never 100% safe when you have herpes. Unless your both completely covered with saran wrap below the belt and above the knees.:D There's always that possibility that you will transmit the virus to the person your having sex with. Condoms reduce the risk to some extent but they do not cover the entire area involved. Herpes is a skin to skin std. There's far more skin touching skin that a penis and vagina.

That is how i caught herpes. My partner's o/b, which had occured one week prior, was healed, couldnt even see a scab and we thought it was safe to proceed, but we still used a condom as a precaution. Now i have herpes.

Well I've been diagnosed with herpes simplex virus 1 & 2! What does that mean? I hate my doctor they never explain anything to me even when I ask questions. So does having 1 and 2 mean that i am going to be really sick and that my ob's are going to always be severe? This one I have now which I believe is my first one cuz I have nver had anything like this before, isn't bad. I dont mean to get into details but my doctor doesn't seem like he wants to help me so I was hoping some one here could. I only have 3 small blisters on one of my outside vagina lips. They dont hurt at all, not when I pee or when my pants rub them, they never hurt. So does this mean that this is how all my ob's will be?
Another question is "I heard that after I get out of the shower and dry off with a towel, that if some one uses that towel after me , will they catch herpes even when I do and dont have an OB?

By what sort of test did they come to this diagnosis? If it was a blood test, then i've read 80% of the population carry the type 1 virus in the form of oral cold sores, so this does not mean you have type 1 at the genital area.

The best test is when they swab any sore you get at your genital area and the culture will show up precisely which type it is.

I get the odd tiny cold sore on my lip at the corner of my mouth so if i go to do a blood test for herpes it would come up positive for type 1 as i get it orally anyway. This does not mean i have it genitally or that a partner passed it onto me. This is why certain blood tests arent good to get as they come up positive, but positive for something you have carried from childhood. Even some people who dont get cold sores on their mouth carry the virus, but never get o/b's. There is a type specific blood test, but that is tricky too as it can result in a false negative result depending on how long ago you received either of the viruses genitally. That is why everybody will advise that the swab test on any sudden sores you receive which you have never experienced previously.

I'd bet that the sores you have now are likely type 2 and that you dont even have type 1 genitally.

About the towel issues, there is a lot of debate on that one and experts say it is possible, but highly unlikely or a million to one chance of passing it on. You would probably have to give your actual sores a good rub with the towel and immediately use that exact same spot on the towel onto your partners genital/surrounding area. I'd simply have a seperate towel for each person and then no need to worry about that.

Just for the record, i have always found the sexual health clinic where i now go to be so much better when it comes to my herpes issue. I dont even bother with gp's anymore when it comes to herpes. I now go to this clinic for my pap smears too and they are just brilliant and so knowledgeable, have so much info and a counselling service for individuals or couples, they can also write prescriptions if you need to take any med's for this virus.
