I was reading that pomagranets (msp?) is better than green tea as far as anitiox goes, but I know so many that couldnt get pg got pg while drinking green tea.
I wanted to start this stuff in Dec as I heard its best a few months in advance.

Hi!!
Acupuncture is amazing! You'll love it if you do it. It treats the whole body. For example, when I was getting treatments to bring on AF, they also cured my IBS and low back pain. And no matter what treatment you get, acupuncture relieves stress--- and we all knwo how bad stress is :) I know that the women at the clinic who get acupuncture with IVF tend to do it a few treatments a week before e/r and a day or two before e/t. Now, I do'nt know if that's the case with yo, but that what's happens with my practitioner.
As for anti-oxidants, I hear pomegranate is a good one as well as green tea. It's a good quesiotn to ask a naturopath or homeopath, if you want to call one and ask.
Good luck!!

Hello, Well I agree with Princess that Acupuncture can be a great source of help and relaxation during the IVF process. I don't that it directly influences the outcome of an IF treatment cycle, but I do believe that it can help maintain your inner calm and energy. I went to weekly appointments throughout both of my fresh IVF cycles and I think it helped me relax. It was getting expensive so I haven't gone yet during my current FET cycle. But I do plan on having my acupuncturist come to my actual transfer appointment next week. As for the tea, I avoid caffeine as much as possible. I'm a big chamomille tea drinker. But if people have had better success getting pregnant while drinking green tea, maybe I should take it up! Are there decaf green teas? I think there are... that might be a good idea. Good luck with your upcoming IVF cycle!

Im also starting IVF in JAN/FEB and I have just recently started accupuncture, Ive heard it can increase your chances for success, and Im all for anything that can increase the odds. Wishing you all the best for your up and coming cycle, Jan is just around the corner and from what I can see there are quite a few ladies starting around the same time.

Kari, you should try green tea! I am sure I have seen decafe at the stores. If not, I think it has minimal caffiene. Or yuo can try the pomagranite, but theya re really expensive.
Last year I had EIGHT girls around me get pg all at the same time, 3 of them tried for up to 5 years even with IUI's and meds. They started drinking green tea in Jan and by March all three of them were pg. One girl was even told she could not have kids because she was missing some type of protein in her uterus. I am not saying it was their mircle drug, but I keep reading more and more about the anitoxs in it helps all kinds of things in the uterus. You should give one a try. I cant hurt anything:)

Thanks for the info!

Hey ladies,
I just wanted to say that there is decaffinated green tea, that is what I drink. Unfortunately, if you like the flavored green teas, they only have mint in decaff (as far as I have seen anyway) But I have also heard (and read in pg magazines) that it boosts your chances of getting pregnant. I drink several cups most days and am still awaiting my good news. If anyone knows how many cups it takes, I would love to know the answer to that one. ;)
I did read some where though that if you become pg, you should limit your intake because it interfers with your absorption of folic acid. So, something to ponder.
Baby dust to all and hoping to be joining you IVF gals this spring :angel:

From my understanding abotu 16 oz a day. I drink it every day, but we have DH IF as well, but I am hoping it will aid when we do IVF.
I notice that when I drink the hot all natural green tea I tend to have an ABUNDANT amount of ewcm. I've also read that flax meal can aid in fertility, I am guessing anything that is super high in antioxidents.
