I was just wondering if you always feel flu like symptoms when you have genital herpes? I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I have blisters and swollen lympnotes with some back pain and knee pain. I went to the doctors and got checked but haven't heard anything yet. I also heard that genital herpes is supposed to be very painful like when you pee and just in general. I have not felt any flu like symptoms and I'm not in any pain. My blisters dont even hurt. The only time they hurt was when my doctor scraped them with a swab. I was wondering if anyone else has genital herpes with no pain?

yes miss lady, I do. When my ex told me that he gave me Genital Herpes I was being optimistic because I too didn't feel the painful feelings that I have read so much about nor did I have flu like symptoms. Also when I looked in the mirror it looked like two hair bumps not blisters so I thought that it may be something else, but the doctor did the swap test and gave me the unwanted results... so it is possible!!!!

Not what I wanted to hear, but thank you. I guess I am just in denial that it could be herpes. I have been trying to think of so many other possibilities. The only other thing I think it might be is genital warts. I have been diagnosed with HPV, which I know can be genital warts. I've been reading up on both herpes and warts and they pretty much have the same symptoms and the pictures look the same so, who knows?? Time and my doctor are the only ones who will tell....
