View Full Version : Abnormal Gallbladder Function Below 40 or 35%??

I've read both online--which is it? I had my HIDA scan today and she first did the analysis in front of me. It showed 52%. Then she said, "wait a minute, you moved a lot during the exam, let me account for that." She did whatever she did and it showed 38%. She said because of my movement (I didn't realize I moved that much but I guess I did), she would need to do the analysis a few times for it to be accurate, and she said it could very well drop below 38% for her final number.

So is below 40 or below 35 considered abnormal? What about people right on the cusp? Anyone right on the edge, and if so what did the docs do?

35% is the generally the point. Then they recommend removal.
