Hello, Im 16 and male and i have a sharp pain in the right said on my belly button, if i feel inside hte belly button i can feel the area where the pain is but when i feel it, it doesnt generally hurt, its not a constant pain.

I goto the gym and on tuesday did my chest area, whilst i was sleeping i turned to my left and felt like a small pain there maybe a pulled muscle?

its not like stomach ache or serious pain, when im not moving and sat down its normal theres nothing to feel just muscle and no lumps. Ive had it 2 days, 2 days ago i was feeling my belly button and rubbing as i pulled a muscle around that area but that pain has now gone its just the belly button. It hurts mainly when im walking around every so often ill get like a quick stabibng pain there and then itl go for a abit.

Maybe ive pulled a muscle there? or ive made it sore by touching it? so the pains not constant and im not in agony its just annoying me now.

I was thinking of leaving it a few days and seeing if it gets better and if not ill goto the docs or if it gets serve pain goto the docs.

thanks

Why not try not touching it? Every time you poke and prode it you are irritating it. If you did pull or irritate a muscle and it is trying to heal, every time you push and prod, you break down the area that had started to scab back over nad regrow. Does that make sense? It's like when you cut yourself playing outside. Your skin devlopes a scab over the wound, but if you keep picking at it........so leave it alone and give it a chance to heal....

My son had an appendectomy when he was about your age and this isn't it.

Here is a test for you to do to see if you are in deed having an appendicitis attack...which this isn't. Stand barefoot on the floor, feet together, no shoes on. Raise up on your toes. Drop down fast to your heels. If you fall to the ground in utter agony from pain in your tummy area and can't stand, then have your Mom take you to the doctor.....

This test is the one the Doctors did on my son in the ER before the admitted him for emergency surgery....and yes his appendix was hot.

Since you have asked twice about this already, why not just go to the doctor? At least it will ease your mind. You seem to be in a panic.
Will your parents take you?
