For example, a drug to help ease the nausea of my hubby chemo cost over $400.00 dollars for 12pills at the pharmacy (no kidding) but we got lots of free samples with I think two pills in each packet from the docs office. Checking with the pharmacies is a great idea, some pharmacies are less expensive than others. My portion is $70 witht he insurance I have, (the Sertraline I was on previously cost me $10 per month). If you are on medicaire, and have no meds insurance this is a significant amount.
