welcome kim,
call your local pharmacies and compare prices. they will tell you a price for the number of pills your doc scripts. i always compare if my insurance does not cover something. also ask your doc, if you do have ins. to do a special request thru your insurance to cover it. often drugs not covered can be covered if the doctor fills out forms stating why you require this particular drug.
peace,

ps i don't take it so i have no idea. duh! could you tell?

Welcome Kim, also ask your doc for samples. The drug companies fill the docs drug closet with free samples. For example, a drug to help ease the nausea of my hubby chemo cost over $400.00 dollars for 12pills at the pharmacy (no kidding) but we got lots of free samples with I think two pills in each packet from the docs office. Checking with the pharmacies is a great idea, some pharmacies are less expensive than others.

A friend of mine buys them online from India. She pays $12 dollars for 30 pills. They are generic and the real thing. I also buy Lipitor from the same place and save a lot of money. I know they sell the real thing because my cholestrol went down 40 points

At my pharmacy, about $140 for 30, 60 mg pills. My portion is $70 witht he insurance I have, (the Sertraline I was on previously cost me $10 per month). If you are on medicaire, and have no meds insurance this is a significant amount. No?
