View Full Version : I have no idea what this could be.

For the past few months I have been exhausted, and it's only getting worse. I always used to get up early and be fine and full of energy. Now I have to force myself to get up in the morning to go to school, and by the afternoon I physically need a nap. During the weekend or my days off I find myself sleeping nearly 12 hours, and still waking up feeling physically and mentally exhausted.

I'm also waking up with headaches. They're always pretty much right in the center of my head, a little offset to the left. And the pain radiates to my left temple, throbbing and getting worse and worse until I can't even get out of bed. OTC meds do help it, and fairly quickly, but not until it already reaches its most debilitating point.

I also found that in the last week, I have been sleeping much more deeply. I used to be a light sleeper. The past week, I've slept through alarms, phone calls with my cell phone on loud right under my pillow, and people trying to wake me up. When I finally do wake up, it's always with at least a dull headache. Not only that, but I've had a dream about going to the bathroom 2 or 3 times in the past week, and woke up just in time to find myself actually starting to wet the bed.

I do get migraines, but these headaches seem different, as my migraines were usually in the front of my head and just had a different feeling. I've also had a minor case of depression, which is what my doctor attributes all of this to, but I feel the symptoms are far too pronounced. I've had depression before and never had these symptoms associated with it.

Could it be something neurological? I can't seem to find anything that explains it, but I'm not too convinced of the depression explanation.

Have you been tested for Mono?

No I haven't been tested for mono, but the fatigue has been occurring for months now, and I don't have a sore throat or swollen glands or a fever so I don't think it's mono anyway. I guess I can look into it though.
