My b/f and I have been on and off together for over 4 years and everytime we have intercourse without a condom, I get BV and I have to take medication. That's the only time I seem to get it and it's so frustrating!!! We did break up for about 7 months and during that time I had no intercourse whatsoever. My b/f and I got back together last weekend and even though we did not have intercourse we did fool around. Not to get into too much detail but we did have oral sex as well as our genitals did touch but he did not penatrate me. Now I have the symptoms of BV again. Lots of discharge and itchiness. Can I get BV from just his genitals touching mine? I know when I go to the dr that she'll tell me I have it again. Is this a STD? Am I getting it from my b/f? He's the only one I've been with in the past 4 years. I feel so gross!:(

B/V is not technically classed as an sti because it can occur in people who are not sexually active. Has your bf been tested? If not, he needs to get checked to see if he has any bacteria that is reinfecting you.
