Are you lazy and aware of it? I am. Academically, I've always been successful, but I'm still lazy. I know I could achieve more in life if I wasn't this lazy!

Do I need to just accept this fact or should I do something to overcome my laziness? What are the successful techniques you know to overcome laziness?

Hi steven5. I suggest that you first have a complete physical to rule out anything that may be causing fatigue and/or lack of motivation (such as a thyroid disorder).

How is your diet? Do you drink a lot of water and exercise regularly? This can have a huge impact on your energy level.

What do you mean by laziness? In what sort of circumstances do you do less than you think you should?

There could be a lot of things going on there.

I would first suspect something medical or diet related. Possibly thyroid problems, blood sugar problems, or depression. Sleep disturbances are also large energy drains; do you snore and possibly have sleep apnea?

Most people are not naturally lazy. If they don't get enjoyment from what they are doing then I would first suspect something medical or diet related. Possibly thyroid problems, blood sugar problems, or depression. Sleep disturbances are also large energy drains; do you snore and possibly have sleep apnea?

Good sould sleeping only to overcome laziness. Sleeping means only 8 hours not full time. And then you will work hard and good energy food. Avoid tension. Follow the above methods to overcome the laziness.

I would be lazy if it wasn't for my rapid changing mind. like i'm lazy laying on the bed and i think of bruce lee or some karate move and that gets me pumped up and i start shadow boxing and kicking. So you just have to think of some action packed thing and that gets you going. well, it works in my case.

The more we eat the more we feel tired but healthy food provides us good health, so what diet we should use to overcome our laziness.

I find that overeating, or eating high-fat foods, makes me tired immediately, whereas eating sugary stuff makes me energetic briefly, then tired.

I usually feel the best when I follow a generally healthy diet: some whole grains, assorted fruits and vegetables, protein sources that aren't too rich and fatty.

i think its mostly a mental block. Sometimes the "idea" of doing something is more teduious that the actual activity...just have to get up and do it.
