We just found out over the holiday that a uncle-age 82 has AML. He went in August for his yearly check-up-had a blood test and all was fine. We were told that he hadn't been feeling good over the last month-went to see his Dr-and that's when it was discovered. It's too far advanced-and he was told that all they can do is give him transfusions when needed-but those may not make him feel better. If it was found sooner they could give him chemo. They havn't given him a time frame. cherie
