I find myself yawning a lot more these days? Is this a consequence of TMJ issues?

I yawn a lot too, maybe our body's way of telling us to strech those tight face/neck muscles.

I seem to yawn a lot as well. I think it is a stretching impulse also... because I'm not even that tired. I do my best to avoid the yawn since I read that big yawns can be harmful. It is impossible to stop sometimes.

Me too. Does anyone have a sort of creaking noise coming from the throat when they yawn? I don't know that it is related to TMJ or not, but thought it might be worth asking.

At one stage I was yawning a lot too and it did me a lot of good.
Looking back it was a case of the body knowing what was good for it because yawning is basically stretching the facial muscles.
