Okay, I have two questions. Any advice on either of them is appreciated.
First, I had a sexual encounter with a woman about three weeks ago. I'm a 24 year old male by the way. There was no penetration, but I did get some vaginal fluid on the outside of my penis. About 3 days later I had a small clear discharge from my penis in the morning when I went to the bathroom. For the rest of the day I experienced a very frequent urge to urinate, with a mild pain after urination. This went on for one full day and then completely stopped. I have had no symptoms at all since then. Since this happened so quickly after my sexual encounter I'm thinking it might be gonorrhea. Is it weird that the symptoms only last one day? What else could it be?
Second, I am in a foreign country and I could be deported if the government finds out I have an STD, so I really want to avoid going to a clinic unless it's absolutely necessary. I have some azithromycin which I brought with me from home. I read that a 2g dose is enough to treat gonorrhea, but I also read that there are now strands resistant to azithromycin. Does anyone know what my chances are that this will work, if infact I do have gonorrhea?
