I was told last week that I was having a miscarriage. I was bleeding very bad and had painful cramps. They did an ultrasound and it looked the same as it had the week before, no fetal pole and no heartbeat. Today I went to my real OB doctor to make sure everything had naturally passed and they did an ultrasound since my urine test was positive still. They found my yolk sack, the fetal pole and they think they found a soft heartbeat. They did say that it looked like it was bleeding behind the fetal pole though. I have no idea how this has happened. I bleed so much and passed very large clots. I thought my body was about done flushing everything out. My nausea has even gotten better. I am still extremely hungry all the time. I have to wait now for my hcg blood test results to come back and my doctor wants me to return in another week to see how the baby is. I'm worried because the doctor said that if a miscarriage is going to happen then I will have heavy bleeding and cramping again. I can't imagine going through labor! This cramping I had last week was the worst pain I've ever felt!

My Goodness. I can't believe what your going through. My thoughts are with you! I hope everything turns out for the best. What a shock it must have been for them to find something!

I'm still spotting, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm so confused! I feel like I'm just waiting for something to happen. I won't be happy until an actual baby is here. Even if things turn out fine right now, I still have to worry about it happening later :( Thanks for replies! It definitely helps to be able to talk to someone!

Could it be possible that you might have been pregnant with twins and lost just one of them? I've heard of things like this happening.

My prayers are with you. Please let us know what you find out.

Big hugs,

Lisa

Sorry ur goin thru this dear. I know it's hard to face things like this w/ ur eyes open but keep perspective. If ur sposed to have a baby soon, then u will. Until then, keep ur hopes & dreams in place. Getting too excited is almost as bad as getting numb. Shane

A girl I met in the hospital while having my c-section was about to be induced to deliver her baby girl. She told me she lost the twin earlier in the pregnancy. I had never heard of that but maybe that is what you are having? good luck
