8 yr old, on advair and durahist D for 8 months. Got sick first of October, coughing, running nose. By end of Oct. coughing, running nose, breathing heavy, pain in chest. Received amoxicillon 14 days. No Better, alittle worse loss of wieght, black circles under eyes, complaing of pressure in his chest. Nov 14 back to Dr Received cefuroxime 250 mg 2 daily for 14 days, singular 5mg daily, along with advair and durahist D.
Seemed alittle better, after 10 days on Meds, then got worse again, took to DR 12/3 chest xray, sinus xray, Dr stated alittle fluid in chest and sinus caivty nothing to panic about, gave us Augmentin 500mg twice daily,Nasacort 1 spray daily, dropped durahist, continue advair/singular. Very Concerned

Since the doctor said that she had fluid in her chest, did he elaborate as to what he thought the diagnosis is (asthma, pneumonia, etc.)???
My g-daughter (an asthmatic) is very resistent when fighting infections also. Most times she has to take antibiotics for 6 to 8 weeks. If you haven't already done so, I think I would find a specialist (pediatric pulmonologist) for her. jmo
