If i want to get involved with a partner who has herpes, what are my chances of becoming infected through intercourse or oral?

There are numbers/percentages out there that give you the likely hood, but bottom line is you could go twenty+ years with out contracting the virus or you could contract it right away regardless of precautions. Its all a crap shoot basically.

For every rule of thumb theres that case you read where it doesn't apply.
