A year after initial diagnosis of genital herpes these are the symptoms that are still present. Now please let me know if anyone is having the same symptoms because i have asked on another board and they told me these are not symptoms of geniital herpes but if they are not then what are they? Ive never had any symptoms up until a year ago. I dont take any medications, i watch my diet, im in great shape, no previous problems of any kind. when the sun is out my lips are on fire, like if i smeared peppers on and around my lips. Its just unreal what it feels like. Also sometimes i feel a little discomfort on genital areas but seems like the sun irritates my skin to the extreme. Never had any problems like this before. My bottom lip looks like i am pouting because some of the layer of skin that is there to protect my lip from uv rays has just literally not ever come back. Its like in that area ill get white dead skin like if my lips are chapping up but this is 24/7. My lips get dry and wrinkly at times but that is not too big of a deal. I drink plenty of water so this is not from dehydration. And just today i noticed i had a red blotch of my penis. Never had this before. This is the first time. It almost looks like a rash so this might not be a symptom maybe just irritated from something. Not sure. Please anyone with information that can help me please post about the lips. Also there are far many more diseases than the doctors test you for when you go into to get std test correct? My doctor only tested me for the main stds but i o nly seen a general practitioner. H ow can i tell him to tests for other things whatever it could be. I was tested for parasites but was negative. Symptoms that hit me right off the bat was bloatedness in stomache, somedays i would pass gas like every 10 seconds which i think lead up to hemorroid. That is done and over with now without havin to take any medications. My bowel were not regular and were never solid this happened for nearly a whole year. I also had ringworms but sprayed some kind of anitfungal spray and went away. All this was from one experience that never led to actual penetration but just from genital to genital contact. Anyone have any additional information as to what tests i can ask to be run rather than just going in to office and the doctor just making up a solution to get me in and out of office please post.

Sounds like the skin on your lips has been permenantly damaged, just like a burn. It would be advisable to avoid exposure to the sun and use a total sun block on your lips 24/7. The other problems seem to be unrelated.
